I'm afraid of cold water, but would like to try one leg of the Hudson 8 Bridges? Any speculation on which could be a warmer segment? a shorter segment? Thank you.

My suggestion if trying to decide on a first stage to swim would be Stage 6. It's relatively short, has a very swift current, is scenic, you get to swim under the GWB and it ends at La Marina. It's a really super fun stage. I don't remember temperature being an issue for anyone but every year is different.
