Next week I will be swimming in my first USMS Open Water Swim (Chattanooga). Its 2.4 miles and as of last week the water temp. was about 73. My question is what can/should I wear? As a male am I limited to just jammers that are Fina approved? I have a Roka swim skin that I would like to wear but it does not say Fina approved.:confused:
The event referee is the authority on what is legal. However, per USMS 303.7.2.B "All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials and not contain clasps or zippers. For both men and women, the swimsuit shall not cover the neck and shall not extend past the shoulder nor below the ankles"
So as long as your swim skin is zipper-less and containing no neoprene you might be okay.
