:help: I want to register for the 2017 Middle Distance Open Water Championship in Chattanooga. I can not find a registration page for the event. Too soon? Do you have to qualify for the race or is it open to all skill levels? Do these events usually sell out? Thanks.
It will be on usms.org soon I suspect. Probably early FEB 2017. Check the COWS facebook page too. The 10 mile will probably sell out rather quickly as the 15K in Indiana in 2015 sold out within a couple days.
I'm in for 2.4 and 9 although I would prefer the order reversed. Hope the water is not 90 degrees. See ya all there.

I did this event in 2014 and the water was perfect. Actually, it was a little cold and rainy that day, but the water temp was in the low to mid 70s.
I would love to swim the 9.2 mile race but I am in need of a kayaker. If anyone is going to be there or if you know anyone who would like to kayak for me please let me know!
