Hi all, I'll be in Annapolis for the Great Chesepeake Basy swim, and would love to go for a swim in that water the day before the race. Do you know any open water groups in the area I could join in with? Or recommend any good areas to swim alone? Also, any idea what water temps may be for this swim?

You can go to Sandy Point State Park, which is the start of GCBS 4.4. It's a nice beachy area, with locker rooms and showers. They have a roped off swimming area, but I'm not sure whether they get snarly with people who want to swim outside of it.
The NOAA has buoys in the water with real-time readouts of water temperature, wind speed, etc. Here's the link for the Thomas Point buoy, which I think may be the closest one to the area of the Bay Swim:
