there are 2 parts to this:
1) are you signed up to race? because you cant if you are not signed up.
2) even if signed up, are you going to show up and race?
A1: yes
A2: have no idea and may not until that morning.
imho, they are running this OW so much better than it was done in italy.
no fake entry times. no seeding of waves based on fake entry times. 1 wave per age group.

Does anyone know if there are going to be two days of open water or only one--and if two, who will swim on day one and who will swim on day two? I am trying to figure out some travel plans. Thanks.
So far its a 1 day deal on Sunday the 10th. If there are lots of entries they will have some waves swim on the 9th. That will eff up the 400 free... Plan to be ready on the 9th.
i just sent/received email from Pierre Cloutier on this mess with different waves if there are more than 80 entries in an age group (there are 4 men 1 women). He says he is going to try and keep us all together. the 97 women and 110 men may be tougher to accomplish, but he wants us all to race at the same time for a real race.

The split was posted under open water schedule on the website. The swim will be split over two days with the younger groups on Saturday. finamasters2014.org/.../openwater_fullschedule.pdf
Fantastic news. I didn't sign up for the 4 free on purpose. Now I can go out on Saturday night!
