I always thought this is one main reason to be a good swimmer, esp. open water swimmer:

14 hours swimming for the brother and sister, 23 hours for the captain and mate. All survived.
How many of the members on this forum could have done that? (The Channel swimmers probably can...)
I thought they were swimming like those Channel swimmers, but turns out they were wearing life jackets. I might have been able to make it, too, as long as not eaten by a shark?
