So, the name Jim Mc Conica is familiar to me and though I've never met him, he never ceases to amaze.
He is in the middle of a seven day residency in the Pacific Ocean between Anacapa Island and the mainland. He'll be crossing once per day and 2x on the seventh. Awesome and crazy.

I notice from your blog that you swim in Ventura. Now I'm guessing that your sources are probably reliable, but you probably misunderstood them.
Oops, clearly I misunderstood what I heard about Wednesday's event.
(But it was clear that there was no swim going on this morning.)
By the way, I meant in no way to denigrate Jim's accomplishment(s). I've learned an amazing amount from swimming with him in the past few years, and remain in awe at his abilities and accomplishments.
