Just got an email about this charity swim being held Sept. 15 in Hermosa Beach. I don't have a lot of details on it, but it's a fund raiser for the Challenged Athletes Foundation in honor of John Caughlin. He was the swimmer who was badly injured by the boat propeller in the Maui Channel swim last year. Registration closes Monday Sept 10 at 10am.
You have to swim in the board shorts they give you, which are yours to keep after the race. It will be amusing to see people swim in wetsuits with board shorts on top. :D
