Open Water lakes in Italy?

Who can recommend some great lakes to swim in Italy? We will be in Tuscany and Venice this summer. Thank you! :)

Lake Como looks to be about 25 miles from Sorico to Malgrate... the east finger would be a bit longer. Garda is a bit closer to Venice.

you can swimm here it.wikipedia.org/.../Lago_di_Bracciano www.traverlonga.altervista.org/menu.html it.wikipedia.org/.../Monte_Isola all are nice lakes not too big and with clean water. The first lake is the closest to Tuscany the other 2 are in the north. The third you can make a nice tour around the monte isola island. I July in tuscany there are a several OWS races in the see, you can also do one. ciao massimo from Italy
