I am starting to build my long swims from about two miles today, targeting a 10K swim in October. At about what rate would you all suggest I increase the distance of my long swims? Thanks.

Yeah the advice read like it was straight from Peter Pfitzinger. I actually think most swimmers can be a little more aggressive in their build (than a runner), but you are planning so far in advance that there is no need to.
