Be grateful if your community and government protect the health of your open water. We had rain here the last 2 weekends that means to the wise Ocean closed.

I swam around the IB Pier several years ago...on my quest to swim around every Pier on the Ca. coast.
It was fun,...I didn`t swim thru fecal mater ( that I saw ) or get sick. It`s a great view from 100 yards past the end of the Pier.
I`ve seen more %$#@ while swimming around the Oceanside Pier.
The Ocean is a harsh mistress.

They are bringing back the Imperial Beach pier swim. Dropped the sand castle contest after 25 years and are starting an ocean festival again. I swam the IB pier swim as a kid.
