Just back from Austin Texas where I participated in my first 5k swim. Morning of swim it was 46 degrees! freak cold front going thru. Standing around waiting for start I decide to text my daughter, triple crown swimmer. She texts back "what is temp?" I tell her air is 46 water is 69. She texts "Ok, suck it up you pansy". Somehow I knew I would get no sympathy...lol Swim went well and acutally it was very comfortable once I got warmed up. Did learn that I need to work on bi lateral breathing as the sun was intense and directly in my eyes for over a mile.
