wetsuit flotation

I am swiming the *** stroke in a wetsuit. My legs are coming to far out of the water because of the suits flotation. Can I correct this with ankle weights? Has any one tried this?

I don't think I could do breastroke in a tight wet-suit! Are you pool swimming or open-water swimming?
