Once again this year the Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad in beautiful Lake Lure, NC is offering 1 and 2 mile open water races. The date for the race is August 27th, beginning at noon. This is a fantastic event in a very scenic lake. Additionally it is the site of the 2012 USMS Open Water National Championship.
