La Jolla Cove Swim Buddy

Hello, I'm new to OW swimming/triathlons and would like to find a swimming buddy to swim the buoys at La Jolla cove. Is there someone (or some group) that meets there on Sat or Sun mornings to swim? I found the La Jolla Cove swim club, but I don't swim OW enough to justify joining yet another club:). Thanks -J

  • I don't want to join another club because I don't have the time to be involved. So apparently I'll have to suck it up and actually converse with a total stranger. :afraid:Thanks for the reply! If you're there on the weekends in the summer through the early fall, my impression is that you'll be able to find people to swim with. Plenty of people swim solo there, but, if you're new to OW, I'd recommend trying to swim with someone else. Even better ... come out for the greatest open water swim in the country and do either the 1 mile or the Gatorman @ www.ljrws.com.
