Hello, I'm new to OW swimming/triathlons and would like to find a swimming buddy to swim the buoys at La Jolla cove. Is there someone (or some group) that meets there on Sat or Sun mornings to swim? I found the La Jolla Cove swim club, but I don't swim OW enough to justify joining yet another club:). Thanks

Why wouldn't you join the LJCSC? For a mere $20, you get all sorts of benefits. If I lived in SD, I'd join in a hearbeat. They have a swim buddy page: lajollacoveswimclub.org/SwimBuddyPage.html
I've been at the cove a few times over the past 2 years or so, and there are several small groups that seem to go out at all different times year round so I'm sure you can just show up & chat up some people there. I wish I could get to the cove more often but I settle for the Santa Monica Bay.
