Okoboji Open Water Swim (NW Iowa)

Does anyone know anything about this swim? It's a 3.5-mile, point-to-point crossing of a 134-ft deep glacier-carved lake. The lake is spring fed - apparently one of only three "blue water lakes" in the world (Lake Geneva in Switzerland & Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada). So, one of the more interesting swims in the Midwest. But the local outdoors shop that organizes it doesn't appear to put much effort into marketing it, so I'm probably not the only one who's never heard of it. The area is known as the Iowa Great Lakes, and seems to be a popular regional tourist destination. 475 miles from Chicago, 200 miles from Minneapolis, 180 miles from Omaha. The 2011 swim will be on August 6. According to last year's entry form, it will be the 16th annual (!). Other than that, my Google efforts have drawn a blank. dl.dropbox.com/.../okoboji.png
