they are predicting a little weather for saturday in these parts so the course direction has been changed and the start time will now be 4:45 AM (thats right folks.... darkness, wind and waves! what could be a better way to wrap up the season)

Daniel - it was tough, but high five on such a strong swim... you blazed through that thing! How did you end up doing with the water temps?
Chris - thanks for saying hi! I was a little preoccupied so I couldn't chat as much as I would have liked, but I always like meeting people I interact with online in person even if it's just for a minute... also... thanks for being a volunteer, you guys made the whole thing go nice and smooth for us in the water!
Did they ever post results/times? I've got a few friends that did shorter distances/relays, but haven't seen any indication of times
they did over here www.imathlete.com/.../OptimisSportDistanceSwimChallenge look on the left hand side to download the pdf... fair warning, I don't think that they're 100% correct/final. If your friends swam the USMS waves their times are probably off by 5 minutes in that document
How did you end up doing with the water temps?
I did fine until the last couple of hours. My arms tired out earlier than I expected, so I couldn't turn over fast enough to stay as warm as I would have liked.
How were the water temps for you? (By the way, it was great to meet you and Beth before the swim.)

Daniel - yeah dude, it was great to run into you pre-swim... and thanks for saying hi as you speeded past me in the water!
I spend so much time in colder places that the water temps didn't really phase me on this one... it was nice for me to not have to worry about it on such a long swim. I got more sensitive to the flux in temperatures later in the day, but I never got cold. Now if I could just trade some of that cold tolerance for speed...
