I recently renewed my interest in OW swimming and completed Waikiki Rough Water (2.37 miles) in 1:07 (3rd in 65-69 age group). I would be interested in participating in more OW races that have age group categories. I live in Washington state, so events in Western US would be of particular interest. Any info would be welcome!

Some of the bigger west coast races with age groups.
The La Jolla Rough Water swim standard master’s 5-year age groups
Newport Beach Pier to Pier – Standard 5-year age groups
Tiburon Mile SF Bay 10-year age groups
Alcatraz Challenge 10-year age groups
If the race has been designated a “National Championship” by United States Masters Swimming (USMS) it will have 5-year age groups. If it is just sanctioned by USMS, it’s up to local director/committee.
And one more calendar because if you’re an open water competitor you need multiple calendars because no single calendar has everything.
