Little Red Lighthouse Swim
This 10k swim from 79th Street Boat Basin Marina to Inwood Canoe Club(Dyckman Street), is one of our oldest and most popular events and features views of upper Manhattan, the George Washington Bridge and the Palisades. Thanks to the expected tidal assist, this is a great way to get started with longer-distance swimming. Afterward, join your swim buddies for an informal, pay-as-you-go gatherings at two fine local Restuarants: Mamajuana and Mofongo House (Dyckman and Broadway).
I have never done one of these events before. Will they send email notification of changes? I will be traveling on Friday and will have limited access to website. It doesn't appear that the directions to the start have changed on the website. My hotel is on 56th and I was just planning on walking West to start. Should I just grab a taxi to 79th Street Boat Basin Marina?
I appreciate any help from someone familiar with area and/or NYC Swim.
