Has anyone ever had gastrointestinal issues from swallowing too much salt water? After Saturday's extremely rough Nubble Light Swim, I was ill most of the day. I'm thinking it's because I swallowed a lot of salt water, although I've never had this problem before. Now I'm worried about my other ocean races this year.

To those who have swum at Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, NY, do you think the water there is more salty than elsewhere? What about the Hudson? Did anyone have similar experience? I never had problem at other beaches.
the hudson is brackish north to the tappan zee (i think this changes with the seasons)
its total fresh from beacon north (where i did some early season training)
BB is salty... but Dover is worse!
