I just saw the number of participants signed up for this weekends big OW race and wanted to share
3km - 7166
women's 1km - 3207
open 1km - 160*
5km nationals only - 37!
1500m youth nationals (under 16) 85!
1500m open 940
*the open 1km has open registration until 1hr before the race. the number is small because the womens race is only 1hr later.
!registration closes tonight, but the long course nationals are the following weekend so not too many swimmers do both.
