In trying to find an alternate race for the cancelled COWS race, I found this:

This area is very beautiful, and should be an excellent swim. It's now on my calendar, although still looking for something the weekend of June 26.

I just stumbled across this am I am seriously considering committing to it for my first 5k. The date gives me enough time to build up my yardage. I will dread that early am start though.
