I am very allergic to jelly fish so need to do my open water training with as much of me covered up as possible. Are there any recommendations for rash guards that do not rub you raw during a 6 or 8K ocean swim?
I have the same issue. Are you also highly allergic to bather's lice (sea lice)? If so, covering up presents more an issue because they are more likely to get stuck underneath what you are wearing. I was just in Costa Rica and swam with the smallest suit possible. The covered areas were the ones that got stung.
I use SAFE SEA, and swear it really works. I've used it in Costa Rica, Belize, Florida, etc., and it has saved me. (My significant allergies developed after a man-of-war sting a few years ago.)
You buy it online--I think it's safesea.com
Sounds crazy but for me, it's worked better than any garment.
Good luck!
seasafe does work well but only for an hour or two. I'm not allergic I just seem to attract them so I'd love something that lasts longer! i've seen people get jellies inside rashguards and wetsuits so i odnt' knwo what other options there are...

Thank you! I'll give it a try. I do most of my OW swimming in Hawaii so the sun protection is also a good idea.
