This is the first annual Coeur'd' Alene Open Water Swim on August 14th. It's a new event, so thought I would pass it along. FYI- this is a cold water lake, but in August it is more of a "cool water" lake!

I sent these questions, and I'll post the answers here:
1. What is the usual range of water temps in Lake Coeur d'Alene in mid-August?
2. Will the course have an aid station for 5K and 10K swimmers?
3. For 10K swimmers, will personal paddlers be forbidden, optional, or mandatory?
Answers:
1. Avg temp of Lake CDA in mid Aug is 70 degrees.
2. Aid/feeding station for 10K only.
3. No personal escort craft for any swimmers.
