Online registration went live this week (2/18/10) for the 2010 USMS 10K Open Water National Championships in Morse Reservoir, Noblesville, Indiana. The venue is the same site as the 2008 Inaugural 25K USMS Championships and is a 5K loop, swum twice, or once if you compete in a 2-person relay. I'm all signed up and excited to come out and swim!
Quick question... are kayakers allowed/suggested? I assumed based on the distance they might be a good idea but I didn't see anything about it in the meet information.
There won't be personal kayak escorts as we had for the 25K. We will have aid stations at 2.5 , 5 and 7.5K marks and and you can access a your own 'personal need' bag at the 5K mark. Good luck with your training. Hope to see you in July!
