I wont answer for Mallory, let her do that herself. I myself want to say a big Thank You! to those of you who swam, paddled, officialed, cooked, cleaned, put in bouys, the list can go on and on. We had a near perfect weather day, 88 degree air, 75 degree water, and while the threat of storms was a concern, a 4 minute shower 2/3 of the way thru was the extent of any weather. As it was the lake was crystal clear, proven by the number of big fish sighted by the swimmers, some swimming 6 to 8 feet below. We had a bit of a wind causing some chop on a portion of our course, completing our desire to have a "real open water" event. Going by the things said to me next years event will be much bigger, and with a few changes,( no more popsicle sticks, etc) better. Hope you all had as much fun swimming, as I had in helping put on the first but not the last "Swim for Kids Sake".. Come swim the 10k with us next year. :bighug:
