Does anyone have suggestions about how to find places to train in open water? I live in Cincinnati, and a number of our parks have lakes, but the parks administration told me that swimming is strictly prohibited in all their lakes. Is there a resource out there? A strategy for finding a place?

What are the good openwater events that go on near Cincy? Looking forward to swimming in a few events in 2010, say within 70-100 miles.
