Does anyone have suggestions about how to find places to train in open water? I live in Cincinnati, and a number of our parks have lakes, but the parks administration told me that swimming is strictly prohibited in all their lakes. Is there a resource out there? A strategy for finding a place?

I wrote about finding a group back at the beginning of the summer but to no avail. I have swam a couple times in Acton lake but got chased out both times. I have access to a canoe and kayak so if we can find a place that will have us we would have boat support.
