Saw some good results by the Forumites - pbrundage and the AZ gang.
This is not the greatest video, but gives you some sense of the waves at La Jolla this past weekend. This was taken early in the morning when the 12 & unders were swimming; it got rougher later.

This was my 6th Gatorman and it was by far the roughest. At beach level the waves at the start were the largest I'd ever seen there but my start went without a hitch. The return leg was tough, could not get a decent rhythm lost my drafting pack and then as you neared the cove you could see the whitewater splashing high into the cove which was a bit daunting. But hey that's why we do it right? for the post swim beer's and the telling of the tales.
