Ok, so the more they email me, the more I get nervous about the water temp. Last year it was 69 which stung to get in, but it made for a nice swimming temp. By the end, though, my fingers and toes felt a little numb, but that could have been tired (??).
But this year, it could be up to 10 degrees colder?! What to do when the coolest water I can find here in Cincinnati is 80?
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I wanted to post about the Big Shoulders entry form. The section about USMS registration after 9/1 was modified. The updated PDF files will show up in the near future on bigshoulders.org and the USMS competition calendar.
The older version listed two different fees. The actual fee depends on the LMSC and club fees. Rather than mention a specific value, the new text states that the USMS registration fee is reduced (after 9/1), and the specific information is available on the online registration page.
