Ok, so the more they email me, the more I get nervous about the water temp. Last year it was 69 which stung to get in, but it made for a nice swimming temp. By the end, though, my fingers and toes felt a little numb, but that could have been tired (??).
But this year, it could be up to 10 degrees colder?! What to do when the coolest water I can find here in Cincinnati is 80?

hey all went swimming in Lake Michigan today. It is very cold at first thought I might not be able to do it but, thought well I am hear might as well go for it. Not bad once got moving, but got in very very slow to let my body get adjusted to the cold.Also wore my blueseventy nero swim skin. Felt a slight buffer from the cold wore 2 swim caps and that helped the most. So in conclusion it was not as bad as thought so do not fear.:coffee: thought this would be a good mental picture for everyone hot drinks to go with cold water!!
