FYI, the Yates Swim in Atlantic City has been postponed from tomorrow, 8/22, to a new date of Sunday, August 30 at 6:45pm. The surf is expected to be dangerous in New Jersey today and over the weekend.
I just came up from the Cape. The surf has been building since Thursday.
We hit the perfect weather for the beach, 90s and sunny. I was able to swim in the Atlantic everyday this week. I swam from the station at Coast Guard beach down to the inlet of Nauset Marsh and back each day and did it twice a couple of times. The sensations of swimming in the ocean are so much greater than the lake here in VT. The waves and rips really made the swimming a ton of fun, I was sorry to have to leave.
