Ouch! I came in dead last,...3 hr, 31 minutes. 42 minute miles. The guy who won did it is 1 hr. 44 minutes. In May I took a Total Immersion Swim Clinic and have changed the way I swim...2 beat kick,.. neutral head,..trying to streamline and such,..but my time was over a half hour longer than last year. One thing I will say is that I could have swam further,..I wasn`t as tired as last year. Should I continue with this method of swimming? I never was a fast swimmer, I only enter races because it is exciting.

  • Luckily , I have not had rotator cuff surgery but my wife had the surgery 16 months ago due to a ski accident, she was back swimming with her bad arm in approximately three months, during her time off , she did a lot of kicking, and a lot of one arm, when she came back , she used fins (zoomers) for most of her workouts for another four months, then slowly weaned herself from the fins, she uses fins when her shoulder gets sore which happens about every two weeks or so, she does not use paddles and just recently started doing a little bit of fly, on her good days she is swimming almost as fast as she was before her ski accident
