First dip of the season!

Stroking was involved! Buoys were sighted, destinations discussed! What a fine thing OW is! The season has now begun! :) :D :bliss:

I swam at Ohio St today at about 10.0am (can't get out of bed in time to do a 6am :afraid:). the water was mid 50's and fairly smooth despite it being windy. The lane-line type buoys aren't there yet, but the markers to keep the boats out are. Of course there was a boat inside them when I first got there! Tomorrow looks like being a nice day too, so I'll definitely go for a swim. Not sure what time yet. Parking at Navy Pier's the easiest cos there's toilets and you can get something to eat after. It's a $20 flat rate at the moment. I remember a couple of years ago a bunch of us tried to swim from Ohio st around to Oak st and the lifeguards had a fit!! (mid summer). I guess there are a lot of boats and jetskis around at times, beyond the designated swimming areas.
