I have an Orca full suit and farmer John wetsuits. Being a Wuss I hate cold water. how long would I be able to swim in the full in 42+ degree water? I know it's like asking how long a piece of string is but Eh! These questions have to be asked :-)

I have been wondering this as well. I am swimming the English Channel in late September and the swim around Key West in June, since I live in Chicago it is hard to get in the open warm this early. I have been asking around about a wetsuit, but no one I have run into yet seems to know which ones work best for warmth.
The water temps are still in the low 40's, but I would like to be swimming in the lake by the second week in May. Any suggestion on a good wetsuit?
Do earplugs really help?
