The first Laguana Del Tule Race in Melaque, Mexico takes place January 21 at 10 am. The race is a 1000m competition across the lagoon, with One Million Pesos in prize Money. There are 24 entries and it is said that Phelps and Hackett are entered. There are crocodiles in the lagoon but are not supposed to be a danger to humans. I will report the results in the morning after the race is completed.
Not true, it is a lark, a spoof.
I was told that humans have swum in the Lagoon in years past but I do not think anybody would dare to swim there with the crocodiles.
A friend of mine named Pedro told me about a race last summer and I almost believed him until well into the story.
Yeah Yeah Yeah I can be extremely gullible. I was so into your story, I couldn't believe it. You had me googleing it and I didn't come up with anything. You should really be a story teller cause you had me goin'. Thanks for a good laugh. -Julia
I just thought everyone would enjoy the friendly crocs at Laguna del Tule. Here are a couple of friends out for a leisurely walk on the beach with one of the crocs from the Lagoon
Entries are now being accepted for next years race.
Entry fee for each swimmer is 2 well rotted fish to feed the crocs the day before the race.
That will keep the crocs full so they don't attack the swimmers for a snack. I believe that is food for thought.
The officials here are looking for more entries there are only three people entered for next year and one is this years winner, Pedro Hernandez.
He bought a new sports car with his winnigs, It sure is a nice car.
New entries required. Prize money has been increased by $500.00 pesos.
Pedro emailed me yesterday and would like a little mre competition. He is going to have a Margarita Party the day of the race. He said he is surely going to win and was going to buy every one as many drinks as they want before the race. He said if all the competitors are drunk a few more may get in the water.
