Only 1 finisher in the Ederle Swim on Saturday. I imagine that it was the weather - at least it was pretty bad here in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Anyone have any info?

i know that the swim was postponed until sunday the 26th, but i haven't heard any first hand reports yet. i swam at coney island with lance a couple of weeks ago...he was swimming well, and it looks like he had a pretty fast swim. i'm suprised that david blanke didn't finish. i'll be looking for the race report.

yes, i was there and out at sea in a boat... swim took place Sunday 10/26... very, very tough swim due to mid 50's water temp & 2 & 3 foot breakers past the verrazano...
the wind came out of the west which pushed swimmers towards breezy point -- after 5 or 6 hours the remaining 2 swimmers were pulled because they were not making any progress -- Lance Ogren was not only the lone finisher, he was the only one who came close....
