:groovy:Anyone familiar with the Lake Harriet 5 mile swim, Minnetonka, MN? I'm somewhat familiar with this area, lived there in the past. Just wondering if anyone has done this swim? I'm new to open water swimming. My first was Big Shoulders here in Chicago. Man is this an addictive sport!!

I believe you are confusered. There's a 1- or 2-mile in Lake Harriet and a 5-mile in Lake Minnetonka. The former is a fine race, but I haven't done the latter. I do know that you need to line up a canoe escort for the 5-mile.
