Whats the current like in the Potomac?

Going to DC in two weeks to do the TRi...how does it compare to Detroit river swim?..or whatever.

Don't worry about the current, you'll probably be devoured by the dreaded snakeheads (the fish) before then. -LBJ

If you are swimming in or around DC I don't think it should be a problem. I believe the current is dominated by the tides at that point of the river. It's called the Tidal Basin for a reason. en.wikipedia.org/.../Tidal_Basin
