We are starting an annual swim in memory of my father who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in 2002. My Dad was a swimmer all his life and he participated in many open water swims including the Annual Chesapeake Bay Bridge Swim.
His Death hit our family hard and I couldnt find a better way to pay tribute to him.
This year a small goup of us are swimming 2 miles from Rocky Point Park in Baltimore County to Hart Miller Island and back. It is an out and back course. I would love for this to become a larger event next year but I would need help and guidance. Who can i team up with to help me get this off the ground? Any Masters teams out there?
Originally I was swimming alone and wanted to raise $250. Now we have five swimmers and have raised almost $7000 for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Any ideas would be great!!!
