I see on the USMS main page the announcement of various people aiming for the English Channel... and wish them all success, naturally!
Just have a question about one name there: It says Mike Huckabay... that's not a misprint is it for Gov. Huckaby? (Of course, I could be misspelling his name too, so who am I to talk?) Or is this someone related? Interesting--we had the younger Hodding Carter aiming at the swimming Olympic trials... so I don't rule out this possibility either. Not a fan of Gov. Huckaby's politics, but I am a fan of people's taking on challenges, no matter what their politics.
Again, good luck to all in their Channel swimming efforts!
