What do you do for speed work. The LSD/endurance is a no brainer but what about the need for speed?

I've found a set that I enjoy and I use a slight variation on the theme just about every workout. The basic set consists of 12 50s, reducing the interval every 4 (i.e. 4@1:00, 4@:55 and 4@:50) while holding the time for each 50 constant. I usually do 4-5 seconds faster than my normal workout pace and hold it through the set.
After a few weeks of this set I've found my longer swims have gotten a little faster as I'm able to challenge my pace a bit.
