I'm an ocean swimmer out in HI and was curious if anyone has an opinion on the new Sharkshield Freedom 7 (electronic shark deterrent device worn on the ankle). I owned a previous model (Freedom 4), and found it far too bulky/too much drag for freestyle swimming - also, it would slip down to the top of my foot over time, making it difficult to flutterkick. Hoping someone out there has tried the new (smaller) Freedom 7 model and can tell me if it is more "swimmable" for the freestyle stroke these days.

Looks very cumbersome for swimming............. and it just might work and scare off all the sharks! :shakeshead: ;)
