This is another event I did last year and will do again this year. 2.5km and 5km races in Lake Padden near Bellingham, WA on saturday 8/2/08.

I just got back. It was a fun race, the water was colder than last year (low 60s at the starting area I heard, but temperatures vary greatly in different parts of this lake). Most people had wetsuits including me. I managed to knock some time off compared to last year, but it is hard to compare even the same course from year to year. Just like last year, the final leg of the triangular course was upwind, with a lot of waves and chop. Results will be on the Bellingham masters site at some point (see my first post).
