Just out of curiosity, why arn't there more open water swim events? There are only maybe 5 events within a few hours drive of where I live the entire year. With other sports like running races, however, there is a race every weekend. Why don't you think there are more open water meets? There are lakes everywhere!

What part of Ohio do you live in? There are several places you could do searches to try to find some OW racing.
