Tomorrow I will be swimming in my first open water swim (lowcountry splash). I am looking foward to it but there is a fear of the unkown. I am a runner and before each run the doubts always would creep in. am I really ready, did I do enough training, did I do too much training, the list goes on and on. I would go through this if I was running a 5k or an Ultra marathon. Well it looks like I could say the same for the swim.
from what i hear, this is an excellent swim to be your first as the current is fast. I know it is very well run swim so I just need to go out and try to have fun. Anybody else going to be there?

I'm sure you'll do fine. Just watch the current that it doesn't take you beyond the end of the course, and watch for the buoys also.
Lots of people from Durham, NC our Durham Masters team will be down.
I am doing a mtn bike ride or i'd be there.
Good luck!
look for the manatees-one year one came up on the dock :)
