Are there any outdoor pool or open water for swimming in new york city? in any borough...

The NYC Parks Dep't has many free outdoor pools open all summer.. Some have established hours for lap swimming. They're listed at www.nyc.gov under the Parks Dep't. (For the past two summers Asphalt Green has had a 25 yard outdoor pool as well, but it was members only. I haven't heard what the policy will be this summer -- or if it will be open at all -- since it was originally for temporary use during repairs to the main pool.)
