Hi All,
Im planning on participating in the 2008 swim around Key West. I understand that there are 2 races on the same day? A sanctioned race and a NS race? Anyone have more detail on this? I have found little documentation online, however it would seem to make sense to swim in the Coast Guard sanctioned race.
Was just curious if anyone else was training for this race and if so, care to share any details about your training strategy? Or does anyone have some past experiences to share related to this event?
Cheers

Scott- the difference between the two races is that the FKCC one is sanctioned through Masters swimming- that means it has safety boats, officials, and follows the rules stated in the Masters rule book. I swam in the FKCC one last year on a relay. They were very professional in all the situations that occurred last year. I'm looking forward to swimming the event solo this year. Hope to see you there. Susie
