I'm hoping to do a qualifying swim in the Jacksonville area right after Christmas and am looking for advice about local conditions.
Specifically, water temperature is my main concern, as my swim must be in water no warmer than 65 degrees---and preferably not much colder either. How does the Fernandina Beach buoy temperature relate to local waters--are there some areas that tend to be warmer and some cooler?
I'd also appreciate suggestions for nice beaches to swim at in the area.
